Telix for Windows Registration Sentry Cleaner v1.00.
This file has been placed into the public domain on February 1st, 1995 by
deltaComm Development, Inc., the developers of the software that it purports
to "unprotect". Those that would doubt the authenticity of this file are
invited to call deltaComm Online -- The Telix Support BBS at 919-481-9399
and download it from there as "TFWCLEAN.ZIP".
This program exists due to customer demand. We listen to you. You said you
didn't want the shareware versions writing little protector files on your
hard drives, and we heard you. We now limit the evaluation period of Telix
for Windows in the manner which Microsoft suggests. For those that simply
erased Telix for Windows, and want to get rid of the remains of the
"registration sentry", this program is for you.
This program seeks out and destroys files that older versions of Telix for
Windows (1.01b and prior) used to protect its 45-day registration period.
If you run v1.01b or prior (shareware variety) after running this utility,
then the files will be RECREATED. Version 1.01c, released February 1st,
1995, does not create these files, and may be used before or after this
utility without fear of unauthorized accesses to your hard drive.
This program will not allow version 1.01c or later to be used beyond the
evaluation period.
It MUST be run from the drive on which TFW and WINDOWS are installed.
If TFW was installed to a DIFFERENT drive letter than Windows itself is
installed on, then it must be run on both drive letters separately.
For those who think we might be trying an end run, or that this utility
might do other "unauthorized" accesses to your hard drive, the source code
has also been included. This program is a legitimate response to user
requests that we reconsider our position.
Enjoy, and distribute this as far as you care to.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey L. Woods
